June 17, 2016 – From Silay, before heading to Bacolod, drop by into one of the tourist destination in Negros Occidental – The Ruins.
How to reach the Ruins?
- Take a PUJ Silay-Bacolod route along Rizal St.
- Alight in North Terminal. From there, walk shortly near PEPSI plant. Take a tricycle going to Ruins (Landmark: flyover/overpass).
- You can ask the tricyle driver to wait (negotiate for possible additional charge). There are also tricycle outside the Ruins bound for Bacolod or North Terminal.
The Ruins
The structure of The Ruins is Italianate with neo-Romanesque paired columns rising to wide arches at the upper levels.
It was built in the early 1900’s by the sugar baron, Don Mariano Ledesma Lacson (1865-1948) in loving memory of his deceased wife Maria Braga (+1900).
With its picturesque view and wide garden, it has become venue for different occassions especially weddings.
Visit this must-see tourist attraction located in Talisay City, Negros Occidental, Philippines. Entrance fee is Php95 per person.
